How does it work
A camera cum doorbell is fitted on the outside of your front door. Whenever someone rings your doorbell, both the audio and video system on the inside get activated. You can see the person outside your door captured and also talk to him if you have speakers enabled. You can then decide if you want to let the person in.
You can also go for additional memory added to the system which can take photos whenever the bell rings and help to see the visitors when you were not at home.

Door eye is a small glass piece installed on the main door to view the person on the door. The design allows to view the person on the door but does not allow to view interiors of the house. This can server as a cheaper alternative to Door phones.
The door eye should be mounted at a height which is comfortable for everyone in your house to view. Sometimes children cannot be seen through the door eye so make sure to check for this.
Have a corridor with good light specially at night else you may not be able to view the person at the door.
